X-Files: Fight the Future (1998) Previs Animator at VIFX.

This was a bit of a unique gig for me. A CG UFO was modeled, I believe by Dylan Robinson. Simultaneously on The VIFX stages a scale model of the UFO was being built. I created camera moves in Maya with our CG UFO that we would then take the animation curves over to stage to plug into the moco data rig. I can't remember if stage was using Kuper motion control or not. The end result was awesome. Theo Vandernoot who was/is the king of Houdini did the antartic snow collapse. So these shots were a combo of practical plate of the actors, miniature of Antartica around it, CG of the ice collapse and a miniature UFO.
